The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Gilroy City Council was
called to order by His Honor Norman B. Goodrich at 4:08 p.m.
Roll Call
Present: Council Members: Sharon Albert, Brian D. Cunningham,
Roberta H. Hughan, Robert E. Taylor and Norman B. Goodrich. Absent:
Council Members: Marion T. Link and John E. Pate.
Chief of Police City Administrator Wood recommended that the Council adjourn to
Position an Executive Session in regard to the Chief of Police position.
At 4:08 p.m., the Mayor adjourned to an Executive Session of the
Council.

: At 4:38 p.m~, thet1ayor reconvened the meeting.
City Administrator Wood recommended the appointment of Mr.
Gregory G. Cowart for Police Chief at the advertised salary of
$29,769 per year.
Motion was made by Councilman Cunningham seconded by Council-
man Taylor and carried that Mr. Gregory G. Cowart be offered the Police
Chief position with the City of Gilroy at the recommended salary.
At 4:40 p.m., the Mayor adjourned the meeting.
