The Regular Adjourned Meeting of the Gilroy City Council was
called to order by His Honor Mayor Protempore Marion T. Link at 5:01 p.m.
Present: Council Members: Sharon A. Albert, Donald F. Gage, Roberta
H. Hughan, Marion T. Link and Robert E. Taylor.
Absent: Council Members: Pete Valdez, Jr. and Norman B. Goodrich.

City Administrator Baksa presented a report and recommendation
for bids received for the Waldon Pond Levee Reconstruction Project recom-
mending award of the low bid of Piazza Construction Company in the amount
of $141,335.00. It was noted that five (5) bids had been received for the
project.
Motion was made by Councilwoman Hughan seconded by Councilman
Gage and carried that the bid of Piazza Construction Company in the amount
of $141,335.00 be awarded for the Waldon Pond Levee Reconstruction as recom-
mended.
CIty Administrator Baksa recommended that the Council continue
action on the required budget amendment for said project.
Mayor Protempore presented a recommendation of Mayor Goodrich for
appoointments to the Sewer Plant's Citizens' Advisory Committee.
Councilman Valdez entered at 5:05 p.m. and took his seat at the
Council table.
Discussion was had regarding the Citizens' Advisory Committee
appointments.

Council concurred that said Committee conduct an orientation
meeting with the City's Joint Sewer Advisory Committee and that a repre-
sentative of the Citizens' Committee be present at all Joint Sewer Advi-
sory Committee Meetings and that this new committee receive all written
reports, etc. of the Joint Sewer Advisory Committee.
Motion was made by Councilwoman Hughan seconded by Councilman
Gage and carried that the following Mayor's appointments to the SEwer Plant-
Citizens' Advisory Committee be approved as submitted:

It was noted that the City of Morgan Hill has appointed the fol-
lowing to the Sewer Plant-Citizens' Advisory Committee;

Dave Heninger
John Dossetti
Mrs. Monnie Lappen, representing San Martin area.
The Mayor Protempore noted that the next Joint Sewer Advisory
Committee has been rescheduled to October 11, 1983 at,8:30 p.m.
