Mayor Protempore Rogers adjourned the meeting at 11 :20 p.m., to a closed
session on September 18, 1997 at 8:00 p.m.
Mayor Protempore Rogers stated that Council had met in closed session
regarding a Personnel matter on an appeal from the decision of the City
Administrator to dismiss Police Officer Mark Good. She announced that no
decision was reached, and that Council will adjourn to Thursday, September 18,
1997 starting at 8:00 p.m., and will reconvene the meeting into open session after
giving a 30 minute notice, to announce the decision. It was requested that all
interested persons wishing a courtesy call within the 30 minute time period, give
their name and telephone number to the Clerk. It was also noted that the
Councilmembers are considered sequestered and requested the press not contact
them.
(At 10:04 p.m., prior to adjourning the closed session into open session,
Mayor Protempore Rogers had announced that a decision had not been reached on
a Personnel matter on an appeal from the decision of the City Administrator to
dismiss Police Officer Mark Good. She announced that Council will deliberate
until II :00 p.m. to see if a decision can be reached.)

C. Rowlison, Thomas W. Springer, Pete Valdez, Jr., and Connie Rogers - 11: 17
p.m.
The Deputy City Clerk noted that the Agenda had been posted on September
11, 1997 at II :05 a.m.
