on September II, 1997 at II :05 a.m.
Present: Councilmembers: K. A. Mike Gilroy, Charles S. Morales, Suellen
C. Rowlison, Thomas W. Springer, Pete Valdez, Jr., and Connie Rogers - II: 18
p.m.
Mayor Protempore Rogers stated that Council had met in closed session
regarding a Personnel matter on an appeal from the dccision of the City
Administrator to dismiss Police Officer Mark Good. Shc announced that a
decision was reached, and that the Council adopted each and every finding of the
City Administrator with the following exceptions: I) Charge #9 - Council
sustained the first sentence only, and 2) Charge # I 0 - Council did not sustain. She
announced that Council sustained all of the City Administrator's findings except
Item J regarding the rule violations. She announced that on a vote of 5-1
(Councilman Springer voting no) that the Council found just cause to uphold the
termination of Mark Good.
Mayor Protempore Rogers adjourned the mecting at II :21 p.m.
