Physically Challenged Board of Appeals Report Walter Schinke, Physically Challenged Board of Appeals member, gave a report on their activities on their Top 10 List, including repair of Gilroy's sidewalks, inclusion of audible-pedestrian crosswalks at various locations, inspections for safety accessible pathways in businesses, making Channel 17 accessible to hearing impaired citizens, requiring residential projects to have sidewalks, and upgrading the Museum to be handicapped accessible. Presentations by members of the public for items not on the agenda, but within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. There were no presentations by the public. Jim Fletcher, representing the applicant, stated that they met with staffwho informed them that a loop water pressure would be required with the Mesa Ridge project for water service. Karen Christopher, applicant, stated that they have made tremendous progress with the various environmental agencies. She stated that she is under contract with a person to purchase her property and develop it. City Attorney's Report Acting City Attorney Faber informed the Council of a letter regarding a request for Grant of Review - Building Industry Association of San Diego County v. State Water Resources Control Board (2004) 124 Cal.App.4th 866. Council Members Report Councilman Morales noted that he spoke to the Mayor of Tecate when he was in San Diego, and the Mayor thanked Mayor Pinheiro for the invitation to visit. Councilman Morales noted that goodwill with our sister cities is good.
