Mayor Pinheiro called the Council meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Roll Call
Present: Councilmembers: Peter D. Arellano, Dion Bracco, Paul Correa (via
teleconference), Craig Gartman (via teleconference), Russ Valiquette, Roland Velasco,
and Al Pinheiro
Mayor Pinheiro stated that the agendized Closed Session was called pursuant to
Government Code Section 54956.9(a) involving one case of existing litigation. Case
Name: Rex Wyatt v. City of Gilroy, et al Case Number: 104CV027963
Adjourn to Closed Session
At 6:02 p.m., Mayor Pinheiro adjourned into Closed Session.
Adjourn to Open Session
At 6:45 p.m. Mayor Pinheiro readjourned to Open Session stating the following
reportable action taken at the meeting:
The City Council on a vote of6-1 (Councilmember Gartman voting no) directed the
City Administrator to execute a Settlement Agreement and Release of All Claims in the
matter of Rex Wyatt v. City of Gilroy in the amount of $370,000.00
