City Council Special Meeting Minutes
December 7, 2012
I. OPENING
A. Call to Order and Roll Call
Mayor Pinheiro called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. and led the pledge of
allegiance.
Roll Call
Present: Mayor Al Pinheiro; Council Member Peter Arellano M.D.; Mayor Pro
Tempore Cat Tucker; Council Member Bob Dillon; Council Member Dion Bracco;
Council Member Perry Woodward
Absent/Excused: Council Member Peter Leroe -Munoz
Mayor Pinheiro announced that Council Member Leroe -Munoz had called to explain that
he was delayed in traffic.
H. CEREMONIAL ITEMS
A. Official Canvass of the November 6, 2012 Municipal Election Results
The staff report was presented by City Clerk Freels.
There were no public comments.
Motion on Item II.A.
Motion: to Adopt Resolution 2012 -52 of the City Council of the City of Gilroy
Declaring the Acceptance of the Statement of Votes and Certification of Election
Results
Moved by Mayor Pro Tempore Cat Tucker, seconded by Council Member Bob
Dillon.
Vote: Motion carried 6 -0 -1.
Yes: Council Member Peter Arellano M.D.; Council Member Dion Bracco; Council
Member Bob Dillon; Mayor Pro Tempore Cat Tucker; Council Member Perry
Woodward; Mayor Al Pinheiro
Absent: Council Member Peter Leroe -Munoz
Mayor Pinheiro presented a plaque to outgoing Council Member Bob Dillon
Council Member Dillon gave his farewell remarks.
Mayor Pro Tempore Tucker presented a plaque to outgoing Mayor Al Pinheiro.
Mayor Pinheiro gave his farewell remarks and presented plaques to staff members.
Council Member Peter Leroe -Munoz joined the meeting at 6:32 p.m.
The City Council adjourned Sine Die.
City Clerk Freels gave the oath of office to Mayor Elect Don Gage, Council Members
Elect Terri Aulman, Cat Tucker and Perry Woodward. She then presented them with
certificates of Election.
Mayor Elect Gage gave his incoming remarks.
Council Member Elect Aulman gave her incoming remarks.
