GRANT DEED
SANTA CLARA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT, a public corporation
(District), does hereby grant to the CITY OF GILROY, a municipal
corporation of the State of California, all that real property
in the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of California,
described as follows:
Being a portion of Sub Lot XV as'shown on Map No.8 accompanying
the Final Report of the Referees in the Las Animas Rancho Partition
Suit, Action No. 5536 had in the Superior Court of the State of
California, in and for the County of Santa Clara, and being an
easement for public street, utilities and appurtenances thereto
over, under, on and across the following described parcel of land:
Beginning at a point in the northwesterly line of that certain
parcel of land conveyed to Santa Clara Valley Water District by
deed recorded December 9, 1969 in Book 8763 at page 282, Official
Records of Santa Clara County, distant thereon S 54034'10"W
161.90 feet from the most northerly corner thereof, and running
thence along said northwesterly line S 54034'lO"W 3.68 feet,
thence along a tangent curve to the right with a radius of 280
feet, through a central angle of 08028'01" for a distance of 41.38
feet; thence leaving said line S 32056'E 50.23 feet to a point
the southeasterly line of said Water District parcel; thence
northeasterly along said southeasterly line along a curve to the
left with a radius of 330.00 feet, from a tangent bearing of
N 62007'46"E through a central angle of 07033'36" for a distance
of 43.54 feet; thence N 54034'10"E 1.50 feet; thence leaving
said line N 32056'W 50.05 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 2252 square feet or 0.052 acre of land, more or less.

RESERVING NEVERTHELESS, unto Grantor an easement to construct,
reconstruct, inspect, maintain and repair channel protection works
and appurtenant structures within the above-described parcel;
provided that this reservation and nothing herein contained shall
be construed as an assumption or acceptance by Grantor District
of responsibility for the construction, reconstruction, repair and
maintenance in a condition not dangerous or defective of any
roadway or structure erected by Grantee City across said channel
or within said easement area.

AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of SANTA CLARA VALLEY WATER
DISTRICT as follows:
1. THAT the interests in real property of this District to be conveyed
are described in "Exhibit A", so marked and attached hereto, and are not
required for the uses and purposes of the District; and
2. THAT the Chairman of the Board be and is hereby authorized to execute
and deliver the deed of the District to the property as described in said
Exhibit A to CITY OF GILROY, a municipal corporation within said District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of SANTA CLARA VALLEY WATER

No. 944, adopted by the Council of the City of Gilroy on the 6th

Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, in Book
7027, page 228, I, as said City Administrator, do hereby accept on
