Gilroy Elementary School District of Santa Clara County, the
party of the first part, for a good and valuable consideration, does
hereby give unto the City of Gilroy, a municipal corporation in the
said County of Santa Clar~, the party of the second part, the exclusive
right and option to purchase within One Hundred ODd Fifty (1SO) days from
the date hereof, for the sum of Twenty One Hundred and no/lOO ($2100.00)
Dollars per acre, to be paid as horeinafter set forth, the following
described tract of land, located in th~ County of Santa Clara, State of
California, to-wit:
BEING a portion of Las Animas Rancblot 23 as shown on
Map No. 7 accompanyir.g the final report of the Referees
in the Las Animas Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536
had in the Superior Court of the State of California,
in and for the County of Santa Clara, and being also a
portion of Lot 8 as shown on map entitled "Map of Henry

This option shall not be effective unless the party of the second part
gives to the party of the first part a written notice that it intends to
exercise said option at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration
of the option, which notice shall be sufficient if delivered to the
Superintendent of Schools of the Gilroy SChool District.
In case the option is exereised, the purchase price money shall
be deposited in escrow with the San Jose Abstract and Title Insurance
Company and the deed of conveyance shall also be placed in said office by
the party of the first part. both money and deed to be accompanied by
the necessary instructions. Title shall be free of encumbrances and the
title insurance poliey shall be furnished by the party of the first
part.

that the owner of any mortgage or deed of trust shown in Part Two is expressly insured in Paragraphs numbered 4 and 5
on the first page of this policy.

2. Rights and privileges granted by Mrs. Mary E. Webb and J. C. Webb
to Coast Counties Gas & Electric Company, a corporation, by Deed
dated January 10, 1926 and recorded July 23, 1926 in the office of
the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, state of California,
in Book 257 of Official Records, page 167, over parcels Nos. One
and Two hereinafter described, viz:
The right of erecting, constructing, reconstructing, replacing
repairing, maintaining and using for the transmission and distribution
of electricity a single line of poles and wire suspended thereby and
wires for telephone and telegraph purposes and all necessary and
proper appliances, and fixtures for use in connection therewith
together with the right of ingress and egress therefrom, upon, over and
across the lands of the grantors situate in Lot 23 in Subdivision
of Las Animas Subdivision on Webb Ave. in the County of Santa Clara,
state of California, and which has been located across said lands to
the satisfaction of both parties.
