RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION
OF A PERMANENT EASEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS ACROSS 4,717
SQUARE FEET OF LAND LOCATED TO THE EAST OF MONTEREY STREET AT THE INTERSECTION OF
LEAVESLEY ROAD FOR THE AGREED TO AMOUNT OF $54,245.00.
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy needs a permanent easement over 4,717
square feet uf land located east of Monterey Street at the Leavesley Road
intersection, owned by Southern pacific Transportation Company, for the purpose of
widening the roadway and installing related improvements; and
WHEREAS, Southern paCific Transportation Company, the owner of the
property, has agreed to grant a permanent easement across 4,717 square feet of
their land to the City as described in attached Exhibit A for the sum of
$54,245.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Administrator is hereby
authorized and directed to accept the permanent easement for the sum of $54,245.00;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said easement will be recorded with the
County Recorder's Office, and copy will be filed with the City Clerk.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 1996 by the following vote:
