TAX DEED TO PURCHASER OF TAX-DEFAULTED PROPERTY
On which the legally levied taxes were a lien for fiscal year
1987-88
and for nonpayment were duly declared to be in default.

This deed, between the Tax Collector of Santa Clara County ("SELLER") and the City of Gilroy
("PURCHASER"), conveys to the PURCHASER the real property described herein which the
SELLER sold to the PURCHASER by an agreement effective on August 31,1995 pursuant to a
statutory power of sale in accordance with the provisions of Division 1, Part 6, Chapter 8, Revenue
& Taxation Code, for the sum of $10,000.00. No taxing agency objected to the sale.
In accordance with law, the SELLER hereby grants to the PURCHASER, title free of all
encumbrances of any kind existing before the sale, pursuant to ~3 712 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code that real property situated in said county, State of California, last assessed to Thunder
Mountain #3, described as follows: 841-08-003

As required by Sections 3695 and 3700 of the State of California Revenue and Taxation Code, we are notifYing
your agency of properties in your tax rate area that have become subject to sale at the Tax Collector's Public
Auction or Sealed Bid. Please note that these properties are individually owned and are not part of any property
now owned by your agency.
Enclosed are the following documents:
1. A LIST of properties that are delinquent for 5 years or more that are in your jurisdiction. Unless
redeemed beforehand, these properties will be offered for sale at Public Auction on March 15, 1995.
2. A COpy of the Resolution of Approval by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara to
sell tax-defaulted properties at public auction.
3. COPIES of the Revenue and Taxation Code relevant to this procedure.
Please indicate below your consent or objection to the impending sale and return this letter to our office in the

AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE TAX DEFAULTED PROPERTY
This Agreement is made this 6th day of February, 1995, by and between the Board of Supervisors of Santa Clara
County, State of California and the City of Gilroy, a municipal corporation, as a taxing agency, pursuant to the
provisions of Division 1, Part 6, Chapter 8, of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
The real property situated within said county, hereinafter set forth and described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and made a part hereof: is tax-defaulted and is subject to the power of sale by the tax collector of said county for
the nonpayment of taxes, pursuant to provisions oflaw.
It is mutually agreed as follows:
1. that as provided by Section 3800 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, the
cost of giving notice of this agreement shall be paid by the PURCHASER,
and
2. that the PURCHASER agrees to pay the sum of $10,000.00 for the real
property described in Exhibit "A" within 10 days after the date this
agreement becomes effective. Upon payment of said sum to the tax
collector, the tax collector shall execute and deliver a deed conveying title
to said property to PURCHASER, and
3. that said purchaser will not share in distribution of the payment required by
this agreement. ~
If all or any portion of any individual parcel listed in Exhibit "A" is redeemed prior to the effective date of this
agreement, this agreement shall be null and void as to that individual parcel. This agreement shall also become
null and void and the right of redemption restored upon the PURCHASER'S failure to comply with the terms and
conditions of this agreement. Time is of the essence.
