RESOLUTION NO. 78-19
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY 1~ITHDRAWING FROM THE
GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "HECKER PASS ANNEXATION 77-9 TO
THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 6th day of .Harch,
1978, been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of
"HECKER PASS ANNEXATION 77-9 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following
described property located in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California to wit:
BEING all of Lot 3 and a portion of Lot 4 and Hecker Pass
Highway (Bodfish Mill Road) as shown upon that certain map
entitled "Map of the Subdivision of Land of S. P. Fine in
the Solis Rancho, Santa Clara County, California", '^7hich
map is filed for record in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on Decem-
ber 2, 1909 in Volume "F-2" of Maps at page 46, and being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southerly common corner to Lots 3
and 4 as shown on Map and running thence along the
line common to said Lots N. 40 30' E. 2190.94 feet
to the southwesterly corner of that certain 5.00
acre parcel of land conveyed by Leonides Fine and
E. R. Doyle by Deed recorded May 12, 1914 in Volume
413 of Deeds at page 558; thence along the souther-
ly line of said 5.00 acre parcel N. 880 45' E. 219.98
feet to the southeasterly corner thereof; thence
along the easterly line thereof N. 40 30' E. 991.58
feet to the northeasterly corner thereof in the
southerly line of the Hecker Pass Highway (formerly
Bodfish Mill Road) from which the northerly common
corner to said Lots 3 and 4 bears S. 88~ 45' W.
219.98 feet; thence continuing on the prolongation
of the easterly line of said 5.00 acre parcel N. 40
30' E. 33.17 feet to the center line of the Hecker
Pass Highway; thence along the centerline of the
Hecker Pass Highway S. 880 45' W. 664.59 feet to the
intersection thereof with the prolongation of the
westerly line of Lot 3 as shown on said map; thence
along said prolongation and westerly line of Lot 3
S. 40 30' W. 3087.92 feet to the southwesterly corner
thereof; thence along the southerly line of Lot 3 S.
86045' E. 229.73 feet; thence S. 61055' E. 233.57
feet to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 37.028 acres of land more or less,

WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were
at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the
Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy de-
sires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire
protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory herein-
before described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "HECKER PASS
ANNEXATION 77-9 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby with-
drawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of March, 1978, by the fol-
lowing vote:
