RESOLUTION NO. 78 - 51
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY COMMENDING SER-
VICES OF MR. JESUS P. RAMIREZ, PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE II UPON
HIS RETIREMENT.
WHEREAS, Mr. Jesus P. Ramirez has been employed by the
City of Gilroy for twenty (20) years; and
WHEREAS~ Mr. Ramirez has decided to retire from the City
of Gilroy on July 31, 1978; and
WHEREAS, JESUS "JESS" RAMIREZ has served as an employee
in the Public Works Department since March 1, 1958 as a part-time
employee and August 1, 1958 as a full time employee; and
WHEREAS, during his long period of service, always per-
formed his duties conscientiously, honestly and with the best
interests of the City of Gilroy; and
\l1HEREAS, the Gilroy City Council desires to take this
opportunity to commend Mr. Ramirez's past services to the City
of Gilroy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Gilroy City
Council does hereby commend and honor Mr. Ramirez for his con-
scientious and faithful service during his tenure with the City
of Gilroy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we do hereby extend our best
wishes to Jesus P. "Jess" Ramirez and his family for continued
success and happiness.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August~ 1978, by
the following vote:
