RESOLUTION NO. 78 - 54
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ~vITHDRAWING FROM THE
GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "MURRAY AVENUE ANNEXATION 78-3
TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 7th day of
August , 1978 been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the desig-
nation of "MURRAY AVENUE ANNEXATION 78-3 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the
following described property located in the County of Santa Clara,
State of California to wit:
BEING a portion of Lots 3 and 4 as shown on "Map of the
Subdivision of the southerly portion of Las Animas Ranch
Lot 34 and Sub Lot 2", said man is filed for record in
Book M of maps at page 79, Records of Santa Clara County,
California, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the westerly
line of Murray Avenue and the line common to Lots 4
and s~ as shown on said map, said point also being
the most northerly corner of the "Murray Avenue An-
nexation 76-7 to the City of Gilroy" as described
in Ordinance No. 77-5 of the City of Gilroy adopted
February 7, 1977; thence along the existing corporate
limits of the City of Gilroy as described in said
"Murray Avenue Annexation 76-7", also being the line
common to said Lots It and 5, S. 67040' 00" 't<7. 792.00
feet; thence along the Westerly line of said Lots 3
and 4, N. 220 20' 00" W., 528.00 feet to the inter-
section with the line common to Lots 2 and 3 as shown
on said map; thence along the line common to said Lots
2 and 3, N. 670 40' 00" E., 792.00 feet to the point
of intersection with the existing corporate limits of
the City of Gilroy as described in the "Hurray Avenue
No.1 Annexation 71-8 to 'the City of Gilroy", Ordinance
No. 953 of the City of Gilroy adopted April 17, 1972,
also being the westerly line of Murray Avenue as shown
on said map; thence along said existing corporate limits
and said Westerly line of Murray Avenue S. 220 20' 00"
E. 528.00 feet to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING 9.60 acres more or less, and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were

at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the
Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy de-
sires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire pro-
tection district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory herein-
before described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "MURRAY
AVENUE ANNEXATION 78-3 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is
hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August , 1978, by the
following vote:

do hereby certify that the attached Resolution No. 78-54 is an
