RESOLUTION NO. 78- 56
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM
THE GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "THOMAS ROAD ANNEXA-
TION 78-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 7th day of
August, 1978 been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the desig-
nation of "THOMAS ROAD A..~NEXATION 78-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the
following described property located in the County of Santa Clara,
State of California to wit:
BEGINNING at an iron pipe marking the southeasterly
corner of that certain Parcel C of land as shown on
the Parcel Map of the "Lands of the Gilroy Unified
School District" as said map is recorded in the of-
fice of the County Recorder of Santa Clara County
California in Book 371 of Maps at Page 10 therein;
thence along the easterly line of said Parcel C
being also the existing Gilroy City Limits line as
established by the Gilroy Unified School District
Annexation 75-4, adopted by Ordinance 75-19, N. 000
02' 50" E., 228.90 feet; thence along the existing
Gilroy City Limits Line as established by the Thomas
Mesa Annexation 69-1 adopted by Ordinance 846 the
following three courses and distances: S. 890 57'
10" E., 491.24 feet, and S. 000 02' 50" W., 260.00
feet, and N. 890 57' 10" W., 491. 24 feet, thence
leaving said city limits line N. 000 02~1 50" E.,
31.10 feet to the point of beginning and
CONTAINING THEREIN 2.932 acres of land more or less~
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy
were at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part
of the Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of
Gilroy desires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from
said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED~ that said territory herein-
before described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "THOMAS
ROAD ANNEXATION 78-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is
hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
