RESOLUTION NO. 78 - 59
RESOLUTION OF THE COlillCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DECLARING THAT
CITY SHALL COMPLETE ALL LANDSCAPING WORKS AT EASTSIDE PARK BY
USING CITY DAY LABOR AND OPEN MARKET PURCHASING WITHOUT BIDDING.
WHEREAS, the City wishes to complete the landscaping of
Eastside Park in the most economic way possible; and
WHEREAS, this can best be accomplished through the use
of existing City forces; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated project costs can be reduced
by using City force account materials and labor on the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Gilroy that the City shall complete the landscaping of
Eastside Park without further complying with Section 1109 of the
City Charter pertaining to bidding on contracts for public projects.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August, 1978, by the
