RESOLUTION NO. 78 - 76
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DECLARING THAT CITY
SHALL COMPLETE A CONNECTION FROM THE GILROY WASTEWATER RECLAMATION
SYSTEM TO THE GILROY GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION SYSTEM BY USING CITY DAY
LABOR AND OPEN MARKET PURCHASING WITHOUT BIDDING.
WHEREAS, the City wishes to complete a connection of the
Reclaimed Wastewater System to the Gilroy Golf Course in the most
economic way possible; and
WHEREAS, this can best be accomplished through the use of
existing City forces; and
~VHEREAS, it is anticipated project costs can be reduced
by using City force account materials and labor on the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Gilroy that the City shall complete this connection without fur-
ther complying with Section 1109 of the City Charter pertaining to
bidding on contracts for public projects.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of September 1 1978, by
the following vote:
