AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made the Third day of April , 1987 in the
City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of California, by and between
the CITY OF GILROY, Gilroy, California, acting through and by its City
Council, hereinafter called the CITY, and
F. OLIVEIRA CONSTRUcrION
hereinafter called the CONTRACTOR,
WITNESSETH that the City and the Contractor for the considerations stated
herein agree as follows:
ARTICLE 1 - SCOPE OF WORK. The Contractor shall perform within the time
stipulated the contract as herein defined, and shall provide all labor,
materials, tools, utility services, and transportation to complete in a
workmanlike manner all of the work required in connection with the following
titled project:
ADDITION TO GILROY HEADQUARTERS FIRE STATION
In strict compliance with tHe contract documents as specified in Article
4 below.
ARTICLE 2 - TIME FOR COMPLETION. The work shall be commenced on the date
stated in the Owner's notice to proceed, as provided in the Instructions
to Bidders, and as specified therein, shall be completed within One Hundred
Fifty (150) calendar days from and after the date stated in such notice.
ARTICLE 3 - CONTRACT PRICE. The Owner shall pay to the contractor as full
consideration for the faithful performance of the contract, subject to any
additions or deductions as provided in the contract documents. the sum of
One Hundred Seventy-two Thousand Four Hundred
and no/lOa Dollars ($ 172,400.00
said sum being the total amount of the following amounts stipulated in the
proposal: Base Bid plus Deductive Alternate C
ARTICLE 4 - COMPONENT PARTS OF THE CONTRACT. The contract entered into by
this Agreement consists of the following contract documents. all of which
are component parts of the contract as if herein set out in full or attached
hereto:
Invitation for Bids
Proposal, as accepted
Instructions to Bidders and Bid Bond
Contractor's Certificate of Workmen's Compensation
This Agreement
Performance Bond
Certificates of Insurance
General Conditions and Special Conditions

All of the above named contract documents are intended to be complementary.
