RESOLUTION AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF
THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA BY ADDING
THERETO A PARKS AND RECREATION ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the County of Santa
Clara on December 2, 1971 and after duly noticed public hear-
ings recommended to the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Santa Clara an amendment to the general plan of the county by
adding thereto the parks and recreation element; and
WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors, at a duly noticed
public hearing held on January 26, 1972, considered such pro-
posed amendment to the general plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, finds and
determines that the proposed amendment to the general plan is
~n the public interest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such board does hereby amend
the general plan of the County of Santa Clara by adopting as
a part of such plan the parks a~d recreation element. Such
element, in/the form of a plan entitled "A Plan Of Regional
Parks For Santa Clara County" and in the form of a map entitled
"A Plan For Regional Parks For Santa Clara County", which plan
contains a map, basic goals, policies and definitions, are
attached to this resolution and made a part hereof as fully
as if set forth at length herein. This amendment supersedes
and takes precedence over provisions of previously adopted
plans in conflict therewith.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Board of
Supervisors shall cause a copy of this amendment to the general
plan to be sent to the planning agency of each city within this
county.
