A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY REVISING THE COMPREHENSIVE
SCHEDULE OF FEES CHARGED BY ALL
DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, State law allows cities to charge fees or charges for the filing, accepting,
reviewing, approving or issuing of an application, permit or entitlement, so long as the amount of
those fees and charges do not exceed the estimated cost required to provide the service for which
the fees or charges are levied; and,
WHEREAS, after review and analysis with all departments and the City Administrator,
Staff has prepared and recommended revisions of the 2011 City of Gilroy Comprehensive Fee
Schedule, as authorized by the various Sections of the City Code, and,
WHEREAS, the basis for the fees and charges is set forth in the City Staff report dated
April 21, 2014, and contained in the Comprehensive Fee Schedule 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the public hearing for the Comprehensive Fee Schedule revision has been
publicly noticed for April 21, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, this Resolution is exempt from environmental review pursuant to Section
15273 of the State Guidelines implementing the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970,
as amended; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.4 of the Gilroy City Code provides that all fees and
charges set forth shall take effect after the City Council has duly passed by Resolution the City
of Gilroy's Comprehensive Fee Schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gilroy
approves the City of Gilroy Comprehensive Fee Schedule 2014, attached hereto as "Exhibit A"
and adopts the same to apply to all departments of the City of Gilroy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the updated fees and charges contained in the
Comprehensive Fee Schedule 2014 shall take effect July 1, 2014.

Reimbursements
The Half Pipe schedule is used to determine the front footage reimbursement to former developers for
infrastructure previously installed along the front footage of the development.
The Full Pipe schedule is used to determine the oversizing reimbursement to the developer for installing
water, sewer, and storm main extensions to sizes required by each master plan that are greater than the
sizes required by the development. The oversized portion is the difference between the master planned
size for the main and the greater of the main size required by the development or the developer's
minimum responsibility for each main.
