Resolution 2015-37RESOLUTION NO. 2015-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ESTABLISHING THE JULY 1, 2015 AND JULY 1, 2016 SALARY SCHEDULES FOR UNREPRESENTED DEPARTMENT HEAD EMPLOYEES, UNREPRESENTED CONFIDENTIAL EXEMPT EMPLOYEES, UNREPRESENTED CONFIDENTIAL NON- EXEMPT EMPLOYEES AND UNREPRESENTED PART -TIME, TEMPORARY AND SEASONAL EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gilroy does establish salaries for city officers and employees by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salaries effective July 1, 2015 for the unrepresented department head employees (Community Development Director, Finance Director, Human Resources Director/Risk Manager, Fire Chief, Police Chief, Public Works Director, and Recreation Director), unrepresented confidential exempt employees, unrepresented confidential non- exempt employees, and unrepresented part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees as set forth in the attached salary schedules consisting of six (6) pages, is hereby approved and established with a two (2.0 %) percent increase effective on July 1, 2015. In addition, the salaries effective July 1, 2016 for the unrepresented department head employees (Community Development Director, Finance Director, Human Resources Director/Risk Manager, Fire Chief, Police Chief, Public Works Director, and Recreation Director), unrepresented confidential exempt employees, unrepresented confidential non - exempt employees, and unrepresented part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees as set forth in the attached salary schedules consisting of six (6) pages, is hereby approved and established with a two (2.0 %) percent increase effective on July 1, 2016. Employees that are designated by CalPERS and the city of Gilroy as `new members" of the PERS Miscellaneous group shall pay 50% of the normal cost as established by CalPERS. The normal cost may vary from year to year and this amount shall be a pre -tax payroll deduction under IRC 414(h) (2) for the CalPERS 2% at 62 retirement plan. If hired after January 5, 2011, but prior to January 1, 2013, the applicable retirement plan is the CaIPERS 2% at 50 plan.
