A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY ESTABLISHING THE JULY 1, 2016 AND JULY 1, 2017
SALARY SCHEDULES FOR PERSONNEL REPRESENTED BY
THE GILROY, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
FIREFIGHTERS (IAFF), LOCAL 2805
WHEREAS, the City Council does establish salaries for city officers and employees by
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salaries effective July 1, 2016 for the
employees represented by the Gilroy, IAFF, Local 2805 as set forth in the attached salary
schedule consisting of one (1) page is hereby approved and established with a three (3.0 %)
percent increase effective on July 1, 2016. In addition, the salaries effective July 1, 2017 for
employees represented by the Gilroy, IAFF, Local 2805 as set forth in the attached salary
schedule consisting of one (1) page is hereby approved and established with a three (3.0 %)
percent increase effective July 1, 2017.

7/1/16 salary schedule reflects a 3% increase to base salary
Fire shift personnel receive 2.27% FLSA overtime calculated on total compensation.
Fire shift personnel receive 6.6% of base pay in lieu of holidays. Hourly rate for 40 hour week is
calculated on base divided by 173.33. Hourly rate for 56 hour week is calculated on base divided by
242.48.
Uniform allowance of $850.00 per year effective July 1, 2016.
Bilingual pay of 5.0% of base per Fire Chief's approval and test.
Range F30 is 5% below Range F31 and does not require 60 college semester units.
Paramedic pay is 11 % of base.
Support Medic pay is 6% of base.
