A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY ESTABLISHING THE JANUARY 1, 2017, JULY 1,
2017, AND JULY 1, 2018 SALARY SCHEDULES FOR
PERSONNEL REPRESENTED BY AFSCME, LOCAL 101
SUPERVISORY UNIT
WHEREAS, the City Council does establish salaries for city officers and employees by
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salaries effective January 1, 2017 for
the employees represented by AFSCME, Local 101, Supervisory Unit as set forth in the attached
salary schedule consisting of one (1) page is hereby approved and established with a one and a
half percent (1.5 %) increase effective on January 1, 2017. In addition, the salaries effective July
1, 2017 for employees represented by AFSCME, Local 101, Supervisory Unit as set forth in the
attached salary schedule consisting of one (1) page is hereby approved and established with a one
and a half percent (1.5 %) increase and compensation study adjustments effective July 1, 2017. In
addition, the salaries effective July 1, 2018 for employees represented by AFSCME, Local 101,
Supervisory Unit as set forth in the attached salary schedule consisting of one (1) page is hereby
approved and established with a three percent (3.0 %) increase effective July 1, 2018.

AFSCME SUPERVISORY UNIT
SALARY SCHEDULE
Effective January 1, 2017
(1.5% Increase)
Annual figures are rounded to the nearest dollar
AFSCME Supervisory employees that are designated by CalPERS and the City of Gilroy as "classic members" of
the CalPERS Miscellaneous group have an 8% deduction tinder IRC 414(h)(3) for the employee contribution to
the CalPERS 2.5% @ 55 retirement plan. AFSCME Supervisory employees that are designated by CalPERS and
the City of Gilroy as `Stiety members" of the CaIPERS Miscellaneous group shall pay 50% of the normal cost as
established by CalPERS. The normal cost may vary from year to year and this amount shall be a pre -tax payroll
deduction under IRC 414(h) (2) for the CalPERS 2% at 62 retirement plan.
