A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR SAID CITY
FOR FISCAL YEARS 2019-2020 AND 2020-2021 AND
APPROPRIATING PROPOSED EXPENDITURES FOR
PURPOSES SET FORTH IN THE BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submitted to the City Council a
budget for the City of Gilroy for the Fiscal Years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, and said Council
has carefully examined and considered the same; and
WHEREAS, the said Council did thereafter fix the 3rd day of June, 2019 at the hour of
6:00 o'clock p.m. as the time, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California, as the place, for a Public Hearing on the said proposed budget and caused a
notice thereof to be published not less than ten (10) days prior to the said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the said proposed budget for FY 2020 as finally revised provides for
anticipated revenue totaling $135,072,387 and anticipated expenditures totaling $136,002,692
and said proposed budget for FY 2021 as finally revised provides for anticipated revenue totaling
$127,053,441 and anticipated expenditures totaling $125,981,567 and said budget is now before
the Council for adoption and said Council is satisfied with said budget as finally revised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby ordered that the said
proposed budget including the anticipated revenues, expenditures and un-appropriated surpluses,
as revised, shall be and are hereby appropriated and adopted as the budget RESOLUTION NO
2019-26 of the City of Gilroy for the Fiscal Years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, including the
posting of accumulated annual savings, if any, into each successive fiscal year and that a
certified copy of said adopted budget shall be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk and be
available for the individuals and agencies and organizations as specified in Section 1103 of the
Charter, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council's recommended changes of June 3,
2019, are incorporated into said budget.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from the effective date of the budget, the several
amounts stated therein as proposed expenditures shall be and become appropriated to the several
offices, agencies and departments for the respective objects and purposes therein specified.
