Resolution 2019-53RESOLUTION NO.2019-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ESTABLISHING THE DULY 1, 2019 AND DULY 1, 2020 SALARY SCHEDULES FOR UNREPRESENTED CONFIDENTIAL NON- EXEMPT EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gilroy does establish salaries for city officers and employees by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salaries effective July 1, 2019 for the unrepresented confidential non-exempt employees as set forth in the attached salary schedule consisting of one (1) page, is hereby approved and established with a three percent (3.0%) increase effective on July 1, 2019. In addition, the salaries effective July 1, 2020 for the unrepresented confidential non-exempt employees as set forth in the attached salary schedule consisting of one (1) page, is hereby approved and established with a three percent (3.0%) increase effective on July 1, 2020. CalPERS Miscellaneous Emnlovees: Unrepresented exempt confidential mid -management employees that are designated by CalPERS and the city of Gilroy as `classic members" of the PERS Miscellaneous group have an 8% deduction under IRC 414(h)(2) for the employee contribution to the CalPERS 2.5% @ 55 retirement plan. Unrepresented exempt confidential mid - management employees that are designated by CalPERS and the city of Gilroy as "new members" of the PERS Miscellaneous group shall pay 50% of the normal cost as established by CalPERS. The normal cost may vary from year to year and this amount shall be a pre-tax payroll deduction under IRC 414(h) (2) for the CalPERS 2% at 62 retirement plan.
