A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GILROY AMENDING BOTH OF THE
BUDGETS FOR THE CITY OF GILROY FOR FISCAL
YEARS 2019-2020 AND 2020-2021 IN THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND HOUSING
TRUST FUNDS AND APROPRIATING PROPOSED
EXPENDITURE AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Administrator prepared and submitted to the City Council a budget
for the City of Gilroy for Fiscal Years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, and the City Council carefully
examined, considered and adopted the same on June 3, 2019; and
WHEREAS, City staff had prepared and submitted to the City Council proposed
expenditures for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 for the City of Gilroy in the staff report
for the public hearing on May 6, 2019 awarding various non-profit grants to organizations for
meeting needed housing services; and
WHEREAS, the report and Council action did not include a fonnal amendment to the
budget for the amounts proposed in the Community Development Block Grant and Housing
Trnst funds ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council had carefully examined, considered and approved the
expenditures at the public hearing, and is satisfied with adopting such budget amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT appropriations for Fiscal Years 2019-
2020 and 2020-2021 are both hereby increased in the below funds for the stated amounts .
