The staff report was introduced by Public Works Director Awoke and was further
presented by Engineer Madhavi.

Possible Action:
Approve a contract with McKim Corporation in the amount of $293,632 with
a project contingency of $29,369 for the construction of the 2020 Annual
Sidewalk Gap Closure and Curb Ramp Improvements Project, Project No.
20-PW-256, and authorize the City Administrator to execute the contract
and associated documents.

Bill O'Connor spoke on rental costs describing the need for more units at lower
rents.
Bill Span of Pacific West Communities spoke on the financing of the project and
the ability to provide additional lower income lower rent housing in Gilroy and the
needed RHNA housing.
Public comment was then closed.
Possible Action:
a) Adopt a Resolution 2020-11 of the City Council of the City of Gilroy
approving an exception to the City's RDO affordable housing exemption
procedures to allow rental rates within the Glen Loma Ranch Town
Center Apartments project to be affordable to households earning 50%
to 80% of area median income.

The staff report was introduced by Community Development Director Garner and
further presented by Management Analyst Trainee Carrera.

a) Adopt Resolution 2020-12 of the City Council of the City of Gilroy
amending the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 and Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Housing
Trust Fund budgets in the amount of $32,800 to increase the total
annual allocation for two Housing Trust Fund programs to $47,000;
$21,000 for fair housing services and $26,000 for tenant-landlord
services.

Utility Undergrounding District along Monterey Road from South of Eighth

Direction was given to staff to explore with PG&E to possibly modify the location
of the district to begin at Gourmet alley.

Adopt Resolution 2020-13 of the City Council of the City of Gilroy
approving a utility undergrounding district along Monterey Road from
South of Eighth Street to Tenth Street.

Clara County Fire District for a planned joint meeting on March 24, 2020.
He then explained that he would begin a transition plan for Jimmy Forbis.
