III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. April 13, 2022 – Motion was passed by Commissioner Robinson to approve
the minutes. Commissioner Reddy seconded. Motion passed 4-0-0.
IV. APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Motion was passed by Commissioner Robinson to
approve the agenda. Commissioner Reddy seconded. Motion passed 4-0-0.

VI. PUBLIC COMMENT ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA - none
VII. LIBRARY REPORTS
A. County Library Report for May - June 2022 (report attached)
Santa Clara County Librarian Jenifer Weeks discussed the following in her
report: summer reading program; Pride month; “Her Story Too” exhibit at
Milpitas Library; Bookdash service; Commissioner Nooshabadi inquired
about the budget and how funds were appropriated to each library. Weeks
explained it had to do with population and utilized library services.
B. Gilroy Library Report (report attached)
Community Librarian Cassandra Wong discussed the following topics:
Summer programs including STEAM; Grab and Go Meals begin June 22.
Upcoming Dolores Huerta visit in November; School visits restarted as well
as other in-person programs. Two longtime high school volunteers are
graduating.

VIII. COMMISSION COMMENTS – Reddy shared books that were written by a local
physician that focused on children learning about their bodies. She offered to
donate books to the Gilroy Library.
