CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m. by Chair Miner.

ROLL CALL & SECRETARY’S REPORT
All commissioners were present.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Commissioner Filice motioned to approve the minutes of April 14, 2014 and Commissioner
Bass seconded that motion.
Hearing no objections, it was so ordered.
APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Commissioner Straub motioned to approve the agenda for May 12, 2014 and
Commissioner Baxter seconded that motion.
Hearing no objections, it was so ordered.

None.

OLD BUSINESS
None.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Participation in Party in the Park Summer Series – June 6, 2014
Advisor Bielecki invited the Commission to volunteer at the Party in the Park Summer
Series happening at San Ysidro Park on June 6, 2014. Commissioner Filice expressed
interest in assisting with the basketball challenge.
B. Presentation/Partnership with Gilroy Rotary
Commissioner P. Sabharwal presented to the Commission her idea to partner with Gilroy
Rotary to put on a leadership seminar. She has set up a meeting on June 24, 2014 where
the group will present the idea to Rotary and ask for their assistance with sponsorship.
C. End of Season Social
Advisor Bielecki suggested having an End of Season Social for the three seniors who will
be graduating. It was decided that the group would like to continue meeting over the
summer and have a social sometime in July.

Youth Commission Chair Miner adjourned the meeting at 7:50 p.m.

7:00 p.m. in the Gilroy Senior Center Meeting Room.
