JANUARY 19, 2012
I. OPENING
A. Call to Order and Roll Call
Chairperson Pinheiro called the meeting to order at 6:09 p.m.
Roll Call
Present: Commissioner Peter Leroe-Muñoz and Chairperson Al Pinheiro
Absent: Commissioner Dion Bracco
II. PRESENTATIONS TO THE OPEN GOVERNMENT COMMISSION
A. PUBLIC COMMENT BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS NOT ON THE
AGENDA, BUT WITHIN THE SUBJECT MATTER JURISDICTION OF THE
COMMISSION
There were no public comments.
III. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. Approval of the Minutes of October 6, 2011
B. Approval of the Minutes of November 22, 2011
Motion to Approve Consent Calendar Items
Motion was made by Commissioner Leroe-Muñoz, seconded by Chair Pinheiro
and carried 2-0-1 (Commissioner Bracco absent) to approve consent calendar
items A and B.
IV. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
There was none.
Commissioner Bracco joined the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. Quarterly Review of Public Records Requests Per Gilroy Code Section 17A.35
(c)
The report was presented by City Administrator Haglund.

Motion on Item V.A.
Motion was made by Commissioner Leroe-Muñoz, seconded by Commissioner
Bracco and carried unanimously to receive the report.
B. Discussion of High Speed Rail Joint Meetings with the Cities of Morgan Hill
and Gilroy Becoming Open Public Meetings
The Commission discussed the item, and agreed to leave the meetings status quo,
explaining that they would report out to the full Council on their recommendation.
VI. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORTS
There were none.
VII. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS
There were none.
VIII. CITY CLERKâS REPORTS
City Clerk Freels shared an update on the required annual training on the Open
Government Ordinance explaining that 100% of City staff had completed it.
IX. REPORTS OF COMMISSION MEMBERS
There were none.
X. FUTURE COMMISSION INITIATED AGENDA ITEMS
The Commission set the next meeting date for April 5, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
XI. ADJOURNMENT
The Commission adjourned the meeting at 6:30 p.m.
