PRESENTATIONS TO COMMISSION
A. PUBLIC COMMENT BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA,
BUT WITHIN THE SUBJECT MATTER JURISDICTION OF THE BICYCLE PEDESTRIAN
COMMISSION Please limit your comments to 3 minutes
This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons desiring to address the commission on
matters not on the agenda. The law does not . permit Commission action or extended
discussion of any item not on the agenda except under special circumstances. If Commission
action is requested, the Commission may place the matter on a future agenda.)
Public Present: No public presentations
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Vice Chair Libby Lai made a motion to approve the minutes of the Tuesday, April 22nd, 2014 Bicycle
Pedestrian Commission regular meeting as written. The motion was second by Commissioner Muniz,
and hearing no objections it was so ordered.
OLD BUSINESS
A. General Plan Update Discussion — Henry Servin, Transportation Engineer gave a brief update
and stated that the program is going along well and that all is on schedule. Commissioner
Muniz was in attendance at the last meeting and he discussed that an agreement on the Vision
Statement was made. A follow up with the principals and vision statement will be on the
website. He stated that they would be talking about land usage and boundaries. He also said
that there would be community workshops coming up soon and he will keep us posted.
B. Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee Selection Process and Applicant Recruitment Henry
Servin, Transportation Engineer gave a brief update and informed the commissioners that a is
a process that has been set and the City Clerk's office has posted the vacancy. He also stated
that there are applicants that have shown interest. He would like to bring applicants forward at
the June 24th
meeting. Henry would like to have a committee and subcommittee ready to
review applicants.
C. Bike to Work Day Review — Commissioner Conrad Lather was happy to report that there were
26 signs ups in the morning, 8 during the lunch hour, and 4 in the evening. He would like to
see these numbers grow with increased advertising and he would also like to see that the
volunteers undergo more training to make a more successful event. Vice Chair Lai stated that
if Mr. Curt Hentchke was given ample notification he will include the event in his Out and About
column.
Public Comment: Rebecca School thanked Conrad and Tony for putting together the bike to
work day event. She thanked them on behalf of herself and Terri Berry, stating it was a
wonderful event and she hopes for more public support and more publicity for next years
event.
D. Annual Report to City Council- Henry Servin, Transportation Engineer announced that this
year's report to City Council will be on July 1st, 2014. The commissioners will have
subcommittee meetings to put together presentations to the Council and. update the
information that was presented last year.

NEW BUSINESS
E. Development Reviews: Mataro Park (Glen Loma Ranch), Meritage Homes (Hecker Pass
Specific Plan), Masoni III, UNFI Food Distribution Center, Hecker Pass Specific Plan, San
Ysidro Courts Apartments, Royal Way, Country Estates IV, PSI KemAve — Developers came
forward to present their proposed plans to the commission and discussed their individual plans
to make is a pedestrian or bicycle friendly community.

A. Valley Transportation Authority Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting -'No Reports
B. Commissioner Announcements- Henry Servin stated that he did receive an email from Valley
Transportation Authority in regards to the application process for the BPAC representation.
