Historic Heritage Committee Meeting
February 15, 2016 at 5:30 P.M.
I. OPEN MEETING
Committee Member Steve Seebart called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.and led the
pledge of allegiance.
II. REPORT ON POSTING THE AGENDA AND ROLL CALL
Office Assistant Zinnia Navarro reported the agenda was posted on February 10th at
3:45 p.m.

III. APPROVAL OF ACTION MINUTES
The approval of the May 18,2016 meeting minutes was moved to the next scheduled
meeting due to lack of quorum.

VI. NEW BUSINESS
A.Recognition of Appreciation for former Committee Members
The Recognition of Appreciation was postponed to the next future meeting date as
neither Committee Member Toby Echelberry or Committee member Terri Aulman were
present.

Committee Member Almendra Perez introduced herself to the Historic Heritage
Committee.
C.Presentation on Monterey Street Historic Neighborhood Combining
District
Stacey De Shazo, historical consultant of Evans & De Shazo, provided an overview on
the Monterey Street Historic neighborhood Combining District.
D.Elect Historic Heritage Committee Chairperson for 2017

VII. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:
Committee Member Steve Ashford spoke about manufactured window products for
historic buildings.
VIII. ORAL REPORTS BY MEMBERS OF THE HISTORIC HERITAGE COMMITTEE
Committee Member Steve Ashford stated he attended a meeting regarding the Red
Barn and there will be a Barbecue and Dancing Fundraiser to help with the installation
of the roof; it will be held on June 17, 2017.
