I. OPEN MEETING
Committee Member Steve Seebart called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.and led the
Pledge of Allegiance.He also introduced our newest Committee Member,Mr.Fabian
Morales Medina.
II. REPORT ON POSTING THE AGENDA AND ROLL CALL
Office Assistant Zinnia Navarro reported the agenda for the Regular Historic Heritage
Committee meeting of February 21,2018 was posted on Friday,February 16th at 3:22
p.m.
Roll Call:
Present:Chair Steve Seebart,Vice Chair Almendra Perez,Committee Member Steve
Ashford, and Fabian Morales Medina.

VI. NEW BUSINESS
A.Establish the Historic Heritage Committee Meetings for 2018
Kristi Abrams Community Development Director presented the meeting calendar dates
for 2018 calendar year. No objections from the Committee Members.
B.Designate an HHC member on the Steering Committee for the Historic
Resources Inventory Consultant Selection
Kristi Abrams Community Director stated a Request for Proposal will be sent in early
March to a number of consultants. The selected Historic Heritage Committee Member
will assist with the interview process.
Chair Seebart nominated Committee Member Steve Ashford to be part of the Steering
Committee; it was seconded by Vice Chair Almendra Perez.
C.Local Historic Designation of the Miller Red Barn
Kristi Abrams Community Director provided a background presentation to the Historic
Heritage Committee Members. The request to recommend approval to the Planning
Commission for a zone change to designate local historic significance to the Miller Red
Barn, located in Christmas Hill Park.
Chair Seebart opened up the floor to public comments.
Public members Gary Walton and Connie Rogers were called to speak.
Motion to designate the Miller Red Barn as a Historic Structure by Chair Seebart;
seconded by Committee Member Fabian Morales Medina.
Vote: Motion carried 4-0-0-0
