CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chair Hugh Smith at 7:06 p.m.
SECRETARY'S REPORT
The Agenda for this meeting was posted on January 7, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Rashmi Beman, Patricia Cooper, Carol Smith, Hugh Smith.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion made by Commissioner Cooper to approve the minutes of November 18, 2015.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Smith (Carol).
Motion passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion made by Commissioner Cooper to approve the agenda of January 13, 2016.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Beman.
Motion passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS
A. Discussion of Library Commission Work Plan Regarding `Bike Fix -It Station"
The Commission is waiting for more information to be collected.
A. Election of 2016 Chair and Vice -Chair
Commissioner Smith (Carol) nominated Commissioner Smith (Hugh) for 2016
Chair of the Library Commission. Motion was seconded by Commissioner
Cooper.
Motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Cooper nominated herself to remain as Vice -Chair of the Library
Commission. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Beman.
Motion passed unanimously.
County Librarian, Nancy Howe
A monthly report was emailed in advance of the Library Commission meeting. See attached
report.
City Librarian, Lani Yoshimura
Lam gave her report for January. See attached report.
COMMISSION COMMENTS
None.
STAFF COMMENTS
City Council will appoint a new Library Commissioner at their meeting on February 1, 2016.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Discussion of Library Commission Work Plan will remain on the next agenda.
Chair Hugh Smith adjourned the meeting at 7:31p.m.
The next regular meeting of the Gilroy Library Commission will be held on Wednesday,
February 10, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilroy Library Meeting Room, 350 W. 6th Street,
Gilroy, CA.
