LIBRARY COMMISSION MEETING

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chair Smith at 7:03 p.m.
SECRETARY'S REPORT
The Agenda for this meeting was posted on March 4, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Patricia Cooper, Carol Smith, Hugh Smith,
Commissioners Excused: Sumana Reddy
Commissioners Absent: Rashmi Beman
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion made by Commissioner Cooper to approve the minutes of February 10, 2016.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Carol Smith.
Motion passed unanimously (3-0-2).
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion made by Commissioner Carol Smith to approve the agenda of March 9, 2016.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cooper.
Motion passed unanimously (3-0-2).
Chuck Griffen, Santa Clara County Library System Financial and Administrative Services
Manager, was re -introduced. He gave the County Librarian Report for Nancy Howe.

None.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Discussion of Library Commission Work Plan Regarding "Bike Fix -It Station"
The Commission is waiting for more information to be collected.
County Librarian, Nancy Howe
Chuck Griffen gave the monthly report, which was emailed in advance of the Library
Commission meeting. See attached report.
City Librarian, Lani Yoshimura
Lani gave her monthly report. See attached report.
COMMISSION COMMENTS
None.
STAFF COMMENTS
April Agenda will include appointment of a Commissioner to give the Library Report to City
Council at the meeting on June 6, 2016.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Discussion of Library Commission Work Plan will remain on the next agenda.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Smith adjourned the meeting at 7:36p.m.

The next regular meeting of the Gilroy Library Commission will be held on Wednesday,
April 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilroy Library Meeting Room, 350 W. 6th Street,
