CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chair Smith at 7:00 p.m.

The Agenda for this meeting was posted on September 8, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion made by Commissioner Cooper to approve the minutes of August 10, 2016.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Carol Smith.
Motion passed unanimously (4-0-1).
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion made by Commissioner Carol Smith to approve the agenda of August 10, 2016.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cooper.

OLD BUSINESS
A. Discussion of Library Commission Work Plan Regarding "Bike Fix -It Station"
Lani has been in contact with various agencies to coordinate a bike program. More
information will follow. She is still trying to obtain additional information about
receiving a grant.
County Librarian, Nancy Howe
All Santa Clara County Libraries will be closed on October 14, 2016 for Staff Development
Day.
City Librarian, Lani Yoshimura
Lani gave her monthly report. See attached report.
COMMISSION COMMENTS
Chair Smith asked if there was any new information on the progress of the proposed Library
parking lot that was supposed to have been built with money from the Bond Measure F.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Discussion of Library Commission Work Plan will remain on the next agenda.

Chair Smith adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
