The meeting was called to order by Chair Reddy at 7:00 p.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion made by Commissioner Whitney to approve the agenda of February 14, 2018.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Beman.
Motion passed unanimously.
INTRODUCTIONS
Newly appointed Library. Commissioner Kathy Souza, and her son Zachary were introduced.

None.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Report on Status of Garden Area Improvement
The design of the Garden area is on hold. More details will be available at a later date.
County Librarian, Nancy Howe
Nancy gave her monthly County Librarian report, which was emailed in advance of the
meeting. See attached report.
City Librarian, Lani Yoshimura
Lani gave her monthly report for the Gilroy Library. See attached report. She also mentioned
that the Library plans to remodel the lobby.
COMMISSION COMMENTS
Chair Reddy asked newly appointed Commissioner Souza to give a brief biography, and also
asked each Commissioner to do the same as an introduction to her.
STAFF COMMENTS
None.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Status of the Garden Area Improvement will remain on the Agenda.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Reddy adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.

The next regular meeting of the Gilroy Library Commission will be held on Wednesday,
March 14, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilroy Library Meeting Room, 350 W. 6th Street,
Gilroy, CA.
