A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
GILROY RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF TENTATIVE MAP TM 16-02, A
SUBDIVISION TO ALLOW 14 SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL LOTS ON
8.56 ACRES AT THE NORTH END OF GREENFIELD DRIVE,
IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF UVAS CREEK, FILED BY R.J. DYER REAL
PROPERTY INVESTMENTS, INC., CIO JOHN TAFT,1230 FIRST STREET,
SUITE 204, GILROY, CA 95020.
WHEREAS, R.J. Dyer Real Property Investments, Inc. submitted an application
requesting a tentative map to subdivide an 8.56 acre vacant site into 14 residential lots,
approximately 3.7 acres of open space and riparian corridor; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is located on the parcel located at the northern
terminus of Greenfield Drive, south of Uvas Creek and west of the Villagio Tract 9303
(APN 808-20-008); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy has considered the
tentative map request (TM 16-02), in accordance with the Gilroy Zoning Ordinance,
City's Subdivision and Land Development Code, the State Subdivision Map Act, and
other applicable standards and regulations; and
WHEREAS, said tentative map was referred to various public utility companies,
outside agencies, and City departments, including the Technical Advisory Committee for
recommendations; and
WHEREAS, the initial staff recommendation was for denial, and per California
Public Resources Code Section 21080.b.5, projects rejected by a public agency are
exempt from further processing under CEQA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the
City of Gilroy hereby recommends to the City Council the approval of tentative map TM
16-02.
