Subject:EXTERNAL - Vote for Hilton’s Ceasefire Resolution!

Having heard of watered down resolutions to the Ceasefire Resolution , I urge Mayor
Blankley and all Council members to vote for the community created ceasefire resolution at
Monday’s meeting. That resolution, introduced by Zach Hilton, will send a strong message to
our federal government and Israel from we taxpaying American citizens.
The alternate resolutions were produced by zionists who do not want any restrictions on Israel,
no matter how much killing and destruction takes place or how much instability and spillover
violence is resulting. Do not substitute for the original resolution!
I am a Jewish American who belongs to a Reform Temple - our family here has been
antizionist since before Israel was constituted as a modern nation state, for four generations.
Political Zionism was not a part of Judaism before the Nazis killed so many of us in Europe,
including relatives on both sides of my family. Many, many Jews worldwide do not support
Israel. Many, many Jews who support Israel are for a ceasefire because they hate the killing
and destruction and also feel the blowback against Israel and the US will be strong and long
lasting.
Pass the ceasefire resolution as it was originally introduced!

with all the attacks and counterattacks going
on.
Please send a strong message to Rep.
Lofgren, Senators Butler and Padilla and our
misguided President by passing a resolution
for Ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
