OPENING 1.1. Call to Order 1.2. Pledge of Allegiance Council Member Hilton led the Pledge of Allegiance. 1.3. City Clerk's Report on Posting the Agenda Interim City Clerk, Beth Minor, advised the agenda was posted on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 4:47 P.M. 1.4. Roll Call Attendance Attendee Name Dion Bracco, Council Member Terence Fugazzi, Council Member Carol Marques, Council Member Zach Hilton, Council Member Kelly Ramirez, Council Member Tom Cline, Council Member Greg Bozzo, Mayor Absent None 2. INTRODUCTION OF NEW BUSINESS 2.1. Consent to the Appointment of John Doughty as Public Works Director Mayor Bozzo opened Public Comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Bozzo closed Public Comment. MOTION: To approve City Administrator’s recommendation to appointment John Doughty as the Public Works Director. CITY COUNCIL STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP 3.1 Mayor/Council Member Comments 3.2 Public Comment Ann Marie McCauley applauded the Council for their support of the Housing and Community Services Division. Maria Aquilar spoke regarding the need for more Accessory Dwelling Units and making the process easier. 3.3 City Administrator Opening 3.4 Organizational Theory 3.5 City Mission/Vision/Objectives/Activities/Measurables BREAK 3.6 Public Comment (Continued) TJ Napihaa spoke regarding the needs of the unhoused. Chris Demers spoke regarding the needs of the unhoused and assisting small businesses to come to Gilroy. 3.7 Council Discussion BREAK (WORKING LUNCH) 3.8 Continued Council Discussion 3.9 Public Comment Ann Marie McCauley suggested the Council have a homeless commission to help educate the unhoused-on services available to them. Emily Miller felt the Parks and Recreation Commission could be a large part of city beautification projects.
