Recommendation
Appointment of Jimmy Forbis, City of Gilroy Administrator, as the SCRWA Manager.
Background
In February 2020, former City of Gilroy Administrator and SCRWA Manager, Gabriel
Gonzalez announced his resignation. In March 2020 the City of Gilroy appointed Jimmy
Forbis to the position of Interim City Administrator, a role he has held for the last several
months. Given that he continued his role as the Interim SCRWA Manager, it is now
appropriate to appoint a permanent SCRWA Manager.
Discussion
In October 2020, Jimmy Forbis was appointed City Administrator for the City of Gilroy.
Should the Board approve the appointment, Mr. Forbis will immediately transition from
Interim SCWRA Manager to SCRWA Manager.
