PUBLIC NOTICE
ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE BY THE GILROY CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Gilroy, on August 18, 2025, passed
and adopted the following ordinance: Ordinance No. 2025-07
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTIONS
10.9 AND 10.10 OF CHAPTER 10 OF THE GILROY MUNICIPAL CODE ADOPTING BY
REFERENCE THE 2025 CALIFORNIA WILDLAND-URBAN INTERFACE CODE AND 2025
CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE, WITH AMENDMENTS
The ordinance was approved by the following roll call vote:
AYES: 7 Mayor Bozzo, Mayor Pro Tempore Marques, and Council Members
Bracco, Cline, Hilton, Fugazzi, and Ramirez
NOES: 0 None
ABSTAIN: 0 None
ABSENT: 0 None
NOTE: The ordinance is effective 30 days from the date of adoption.
SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE: The ordinance amends Sections 10.9 and 10.10 of Chapter 10 of the
Gilroy Municipal Code adopting by reference the 2025 California Wildland-Urban Interface Code and
2025 California Fire Code, with amendments.
