I don't understand why they put a stop sign where the southbound 101 ramp meets Mastern. Before, it
was like getting on to a freeway - a long angled ramp that allowed you to judge and make your merge
with Mastern traffic. The stop sign as implemented has traffic starting from a dead stop with Mastern
traffic in your driver side blind spot where it's very difficult to see and judge. If you really believe the
merge was a problem then I think you need to widen and use the left fork so that it's a 90 degree stop
where divers have a clear view of oncoming Mastern traffic. When there's no other ramp traffic that's what
I do and it works almost as good as the old merge.
