To: Our Elected Officials and Community Leaders,
I am writing to strongly urge the renewal of the CMAP TV contract. CMAP is the only
entity in our region that guarantees every citizen, student, and non-profit organization free or
low-cost access to a fully-equipped TV studio and media training.
Terminating this contract would represent a severe loss of a foundational element of our
civic infrastructure. CMAP is essential for:
Transparency: Broadcasting local issues to promote civic engagement.
Education & Access: Teaching our youth media literacy and empowering local
storytelling. Providing a space for creating media content to students and professionals
at an affordable cost that is not available anywhere else.
I urge you to support the future of this vital non-profit by immediately renewing CMAP
TV's contract.
