DeLinda Yatskevich - commented on housing within Gilroy.
Makhan Gupta - commented and thanked the Mayor and City Council for discussing
the homeless in the City of Gilroy and requested that they continue managing the
unhoused.
Greg Felios - commented on how he wore a Gilroy Garlic Festival shirt to Disneyland
and received many compliments and questions about the Festival.

Council Member Marques - Reported that she is the City liaison for the Gilroy Sister
Cities. They had their fundraiser at the Portuguese Hall.
Council Member Hilton - Reported from the Valley Transportation (VTA) Policy
Advisory Committee, which is developing a local investment plan focused on road
ridership, increased productivity, and enhancing the customer experience. He
reported from Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) that the board approved an
additional $6 million for the home rebates program and also approved adding a
policy in support of nuclear investigation and development. He also shared that, in
celebration of Read Across America, he volunteered his time to read to students at
El Roble Elementary and Lugia Aprea Elementary. In addition, he shared how the
Gilroy Police Department, Gilroy Unified School District, Gilroy Parks & Recreation
Commission, and other partners will be hosting an E-Bike traffic safety pedestrian
awareness forum at Brownell Middle School on March 27th from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
Council Member Ramirez - Reported that she participated in Read Across America
and volunteered her time reading to students at Eliot Elementary. She will be
attending a Cal Cities Housing Community and Economic Development Committee
Meeting. She also attended the Cities Association of Santa Clara County, where
they discussed ALPRs.
Council Member Cline - Reported that he attended the Sister Cities banquet
fundraiser. He attended and participated in Rock the Mock at Gilroy High School. He
also participated in the dunk tank at the opening day of Little League in Gilroy.
Mayor Bozzo - Reported from the Gilroy Gardens Board of Directors that Gilroy
Gardens is about 80% through its seasonal hiring, which provides 400 jobs to the
community.
5. BOARD AND COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
1. Interviews and Appointments to the Arts and Culture Commission
City Clerk Kim Mancera proceeded with the interviews and appointments.

6. CONSENT CALENDAR
City Clerk Kim Mancera announced that there was a change to Item 6.2 - Notice of
Completion for the FY26 CDBG Sidewalk and Curb Ramp Project No. 26-PW-303 and
Approval of the Final Contract Amount of $152,974.00. The contractor has clarified the final
contract amount which is now $154,979.13, leaving a remaining balance of $21,211.01 to
go back into the City's CDBG Fund.

Receive Budget Report for the Second Quarter of Fiscal Year 2025-26 (FY26),
adopt a resolution approving the updated Position Control List for Fiscal Years
2025-2026 and 2026-2027 and adopt a budget amendment resolution.

Ron Kirkish - commented on the extremely low income (ELI) and that the State and
Counties need to get involved.

11. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORTS
City Administrator Matt Morley mentioned that he met with CMAP. He also had the
opportunity to meet with County Health to discuss community health and pedestrian and E-
Bike safety. He met with Gilroy Gardens to discuss contract negotiations and plans to meet
with Sharks Ice by the end of the month.
