Subject:EXTERNAL - Comment re: ICE facility in Gilroy
Hello,
I am urging the Gilroy City Council to take all steps possible to oppose the ICE detention warehouse
planned for Gilroy. These horrific facilities are filled with abuse, violence, sub-human conditions, and
constant violation of human rights. They are the opposite of what America stands for, and they're
nothing more than for-profit concentration camps.
I'm encouraged that Santa Clara County is filing a lawsuit to stop this abomination. While my wife and I
do not live in Gilroy, we travel there regularly and we're sickened by the thought of an ICE camp so close
to our home in Oak Hills.
Please do the right thing.
