GILROY CITY COUNCIL | AUGUST 17, 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Gilroy City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday,
August 17, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the item can be heard. The meeting will be held in
person at Gilroy City Hall Council Chambers, located at 7351 Rosanna Street Gilroy, CA, on the following:

Project Description: Introduction and First Reading of an Ordinance Amending Chapter 30, Article L
(Planning Department Applications) of the Gilroy City Code Relating to Architectural and Site Review Permit
Process and to Enhance Public Outreach
CEQA Determination: This project is exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15601(b)(3), the “common sense” exemption. The regulation
regarding Planning Commission approval for certain Architectural and Site Review permits will not have a
significant environmental impact and is therefore not subject to CEQA.
A detailed description of the proposal is in file with the Community Development Department at City Hall.
The staff report for the proposal may also be viewed on the City website (www.cityofgilroy.org) by 5:00 p.m.
the Friday before the meeting.
Interested parties are encouraged to attend this public hearing as this is the time and place when comments
on the proposals shall be heard and given due consideration.
The meeting will also be broadcast live on the City of Gilroy’s website at www.cityofgilroy.org.
Persons who are unable to attend this public hearing may submit written comments by email to the project
planner noted below, or by delivering them to the Planning Division at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna St. Gilroy,
CA. 95020 prior to, or at the public hearing to be incorporated into the record. If you challenge the decisions
at this hearing, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the hearing,
described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City at or prior to the meeting.
