Dear Mayor Bozzo and City Council members: California's Assembly and Senate, along with organized labor, are advancing AB 1383, a measure that would erase many of the public employee retirement cost saving measures from 2013. The argument being made is that the State of California, California counties and local municipalities cannot compete with other states for employees, particularly public safety, without passage. How and to what degree would passage of AB 1383, in its current form, impact Gilroy's budget, overall financial condition and staffing levels? I ask that the Gilroy City Council request the City of Gilroy's Finance Department to include this analysis in the next budget update to the City Council and the public Respectfully, -- Dan Donovan 2611 Club Drive Gilroy, CA 95020-3027 Mobile/Google Voice: +1 408-846-9014 CAUTION: This email originated from an External Source.
