assigns, cwd said Sureties bind themselves,their respective
heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly
by these presents:
THE CmmITION of the above obligation is that WHERE-
AS the said City of Gilroy has heretofore granted to SIERRA AND
SAN FRANCISCO POVv~R CO:JIPANY, a California corporation, the fran-
chise of constructing, operating and maintainine;, over and along
any and all of the roads, highways, streets and lanes of said
City of Gilroy, towers, piers, poles, masts and other super-
structures upon and from which to Buspend, affix and hang wires,
cables and other appliances for the transmitting and conducting
of electricity for light, heat and power for the period of
fifty (50) years; and
WHEREAS said SIERRA AND SAN FRANCISCO POWER COllPANY
did on the 31st day of December, 1919, lease all of its pro-
perty to said PACI:FIC GAS AHD ELECTRIC CmJiPANY.

NOW, THEREFORE, if said PACIFIC GAS MiD ELECTRIC
COMPANY its successors and assigns shall well a.nd truly ob-
serve, fulfill and perfor.m each and every term and condition
of said franchise then this obligation is to be void, but other-
wise shall remain in full force and effect.
