A G R E E ~ E N T
This Agreement shall exist between the Gilroy Garlic Festival
(hereafter known as Festival) and the City of Gilroy (hereafter known
as City) for the purposes of providing logistical support for the
administration of the annual Gilroy Garlic ~estival, Logistical
support shall include staffing of security and traffic, setting standards
for park facilities usage, fire protection, administrative overhead, and
miscellaneous services required as deemed necessary by the City of Gilroy.
This Agreement recognizes that the Gilroy Garlic ~estival is
operated by the non-profit Gilrov Garlic Festival Committee and is under
the jurisdiction of the City of Gilroy as long as the event takes place
within the city limits.
The role of the Festival is to:
A, Provide insurance in the amount of not less than $l,OJO,OOO,OO
for damage to City facilities, injuries to volunteers, City
employees and/or visitors, and to cover litigation arising
from legal duties undertaken associated with the Festival,
A liquor liability rider must be included with the above
coverage. The insurance policy will name the City as co-insured.
B. To develop short-term and long-term plans for the Festival in
conjunction and cooperation with the City of Gilroy staff with
respect to traffic control and flow, securit;r, on-site anr
off-site parking, facility use, safety conditions, an~ other
areas of mutual concern,
C. The Festival shall provide reimbursement to the City for all
documented costs associated with Festival preparation, Police
services, Fire Department services, Parks and Recreation
Department services, and other associated City services, except
if City employees opt to donate their hours to the charity of
their choice rather than be paid bv the City, These agreements
are subject to prior ~estival agreement.
~he City shall bill the Festival by October 15.

D. Pay:
1) A $1,500,00 rental fee.
2) The $1,000.00 damage deposit shall be waived by City.
3) The $1,000.00 clean-up deposit shall be waived by City.

Provide all public services required by City including, but
not limited to:
1) Extra restroom facilities,
2) Extra garbage containers.
3) Additional power,
4) First Aid facilities.
The role of the City is to:
A. Provide the Garlic Festival site.
B. Provide planning designees from the Police, Fire, Parks and
Recreation, and Public Works Denartments.
C. Coordinate and work with Festival committees as directed by
the City Administrator.
D. Critique the Festival from a City perspective and provide an
annual report to the City Administrator, the Festival, and
the City Council on, or about, September 1 of each year.
This contract shall be automatically renewed each September 1 for
a two-year term unless, prior to that date, either party gives the other
party a notice of non-renewal, either by personal delivery or by mail,
return receipt rp-quested, The termination shall be effective for all
purposes on September 1, two years after the delivery of the notice.

A G R E E MEN T
This Agreement shall exist between the Gilroy Garlic Festival
and the City of Gilroy.
Both parties agree that:
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy and the Gilroy Garlic Festival
have jointly ventured on successful projects within Christmas Hill
Park; and
vTHEREAS, these projects have benefited both parties' effec-
tiveness towards serving their respective clienteles.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by both parties, in a spirit
of cooperation, that both parties will continue to improve the
Festival grounds and Christmas Hill Park in a way that will benefit
the Festival and the City of Gilroy. These improvements will be
agreed upon each year prior to Senternber 1.
